The National Service Academy of Qatar celebrated last week the graduation of the 20th batch of national service recruits in a ceremony attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.

The training for this batch lasted an entire year, during which the graduates achieved numerous goals both practically and theoretically.

In his speech at the ceremony, President of the National Service Academy Major-General Hamad bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi urged the graduates to exert more efforts and diligence in serving the nation.

During the event, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs launched the National Service Academy’s new website, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

The website provides access to news, events and frequently asked questions about the Academy and its recruits.

He inaugurated the National Service Academy portal on the Ministry of Interior’s “Metrash 2” service, which facilitates registration procedures for the academy.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs honoured the security and civil entities, as well as the forces and units that participated in the Academy’s programmes.

He also handed certificates to the top graduates of this cohort.

The ceremony was attended by several Senior Officers from the Qatari Armed Forces and the graduates’ families.
