Joaan bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies celebrated the graduation of the National Defence Course No. (4) and the Joint Command and Staff Course No. (10) at the Academy’s headquarters in Al Khor city.
The ceremony was held last week under the patronage and presence of Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, and in the presence of Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Commander of the Amiri Guard Lieutenant General HE Hazza bin Khalil Al Shahwani, Minister of State for Interior Affairs HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal Al-Thani, a number of Senior Officer Commanders in the Armed Forces and military authorities, and a number of officials and diplomats in the country.
The participants in those two courses included high-ranking members of the Armed Forces units, military and security authorities, and senior employees in Ministries and institutions in the country, in addition to the participation of a number of Officers from fraternal and friendly countries.
The ceremony also honoured outstanding students and graduates and saw a presentation on the most important stages of the educational process at the Academy, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
President of the Joaan bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies HE Major General Fahd bin Mubarak Al Khayareen presented Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah with the Academy’s postage stamp, issued by the Qatar Postal Services Company ‘Qatar Post’ in cooperation with the Joaan bin Jassim Academy on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Academy.
