The Second Edition of MEISR - the Middle East Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Conference - will take place on December 12-13 in Abu Dhabi with the official support of the UAE Armed Forces.

Organized by INEGMA, MEISR 2011 will tackle core issues associated with ISR head-on by drawing on the latest insights from international and regional authorities.

As regional security threats evolve and increase in sophistication, GCC militaries are facing new pressures in the realm of ISR capabilities. ISR capabilities must be able to cater to the information needs of militaries from a continuum ranging from higher level strategic intelligence to tactical level intelligence of the battlefield to sustain operations.

MEISR will involve a 1.5 day event featuring 10 high-level briefings, several networking sessions supported by a focused exposition from key private sector partners, and two workshops to facilitate further in-depth discussion on key ISR subject areas.

By engaging peers and colleagues from international allies and from leading private sector partners, MEISR will again create a focused environment for its participating delegates from the UAE and GCC states, U.S., European and Asian allies, and from leading private sector partners.

In its previous edition, MEISR gathered over 150 delegates including senior officers such as Lt. Gen. Mike Hostage, Commander, U.S. Air Force Central Command, Rear Admiral Jean Goursaud, Deputy Director of Military Intelligence, French Ministry of Defense, and Major General Nicola Gelao, Head of Military Intelligence, Italian Ministry of Defense, alongside senior intelligence and air force officers from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

The MEISR program is being designed in close collaboration with the UAE Armed Forces, informed subject matter experts and key private sector partners to reflect the latest concerns and keep GCC officers at the cutting edge of key capability areas.
