Saudi Navy Assumes Command of Combined Task Force 152 & Coalition Task Force Sentinel

The Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) officially took command of Combined Task Force 152 from the Royal Bahrain Naval Force and assumed control of the Coalition Task Force Sentinel from the British Royal Navy.

The transition ceremony took place Sunday at the U.S. Naval Support Activity headquarters in the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Key attendees at the ceremony included the Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, Lt. Gen. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Ghufaili, the Commander of the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, the U.S. Fifth Fleet, and the Combined Maritime Forces, Vice Adm. Brad Cooper, and the Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force, Rear Adm. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Binali.

Several ambassadors, attachés, and members of the diplomatic corps in Manama also attended the ceremony.
