The Organisers of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibtion & Conference (DIMDEX 2024) granted Al Defaiya the title of “Official Arab Magazine” for the 8th edition of this specialized event, scheduled to take place between the 4th and 6th March 2024.
This is the third time that Al Defaiya is granted this prestigious title.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, and proudly hosted and organised by Qatar Armed Forces, the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference (DIMDEX) is reputed as one of the leading events on the international defence and security industry calendar.
A flagship event for the international maritime defence and security, DIMDEX will once again bringing together key decision makers from around the globe to engage in three days of commercial exchange, discover a plethora of the latest military technological advancements and be part of expert panel discussions that contribute to the global maritime defence and security sector.
The show will also host The Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC), a key features of each edition of DIMDEX that brings together renowned academics and industry experts from around the world to discuss the latest regional and international trends in maritime defence and security on strategic and operational level.
MENC will take place on the second day of DIMDEX, on 05 March 2024. The event is open to the public and free of charge, however pre-registration is required.
At DIMDEX 2024, MENC will explore the impact of asymmetric threats on the security complex of the Gulf and its abutting states. Panel discussions will revolve around unconventional challenges in the region’s maritime domain and means of increasing overall resilience.
As part of the highly anticipated eighth edition of DIMDEX, Hamad Port, the Middle East’s largest port, is set to welcome the Visiting Warships at its state-of-the-art facilities.
