Under the patronage of Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), the national defense and security and a PIF company, announced its participation as Strategic Partner in the third Saudi International Maritime Forum.

Organized by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, the forum is held in Dhahran from November 19 to 21.

‏Participating with the slogan “Protecting Our Borders”, SAMI reaffirms its commitment to advancing Saudi Arabia’s defense industries and playing a vital role in supporting the localization of the Kingdom’s defense spending.

This participation aligns with SAMI's engagement in the efforts of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) to localize military spending in the Kingdom.

At the Forum, SAMI is presenting an array of innovative defense products and services that meet global specifications, showcasing capabilities in the field of maritime and advanced electronics, and featuring the HAZEM Combat Management System (CMS), the first Saudi-made naval combat system designed with advanced technology to engage air-surface and subsurface targets, bolstering maritime security in the region and protecting the Kingdom’s strategic interests.

SAMI is showcasing its Unmanned Maritime Systems, including the Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), a cutting-edge platform allowing remote operation through a ground control unit, developed in collaboration with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces.

Furthermore, SMAI is highlighting its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for combat systems, aimed at improving their availability and performance over the ship’s lifecycle.

SAMI is also presenting its Cybersecurity Operations Center, dedicated to monitoring, detecting, and isolating cybersecurity threats, managing security products, network devices, servers, security systems, and IT data for facilities, alongside a variety of innovative cybersecurity products and solutions.

With a vision to revolutionize maritime solutions, SAMI Advanced Electronics Company (SAMI-AEC) is presenting its cutting-edge Vessel Traffic Management Information System (VTMIS). Deployed in numerous local ports in the Kingdom, this advanced system enables seamless coordination of maritime traffic by harnessing sophisticated decision-support tools to deliver unparalleled situational awareness.

VTMIS not only enhances the safety and efficiency of navigation, it also surpasses the capabilities of traditional coastal systems, setting new benchmarks for maritime operations.

The Forum, held under the theme “Maritime Security in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, will gather more than 55 national and international entities from over 22 countries, bringing together global leaders from the maritime, military, and technology sectors, along with high-ranking officials and regulatory bodies.

This event serves as a platform for sharing insights, addressing pressing maritime challenges, and exploring the latest advancements in maritime security.

‏SAMI’s advanced capabilities in the maritime sector are demonstrated by its success in equipping five Avante 2200 Corvette combat ships under the Alsarawat project with the advanced HAZEM system.

As Saudi Arabia's leading national defense partner, SAMI remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting Vision 2030’s goal of localizing 50% of the Kingdom’s defense spending.

Through its ongoing partnership with the Saudi International Maritime Forum, SAMI highlights the remarkable growth and transformation in the Kingdom’s defense sector, propels innovation, empowers national talent, and strengthens Saudi Arabia's position on the global stage.
