The Saudi pavilion, organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), has concluded its participation in the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China 2024), held from November 12 to 17 in Zhuhai, China.

The pavilion garnered significant attention from visitors, officials, international investors, and stakeholders eager to explore Saudi Arabia’s advancements in the military industries sector.

Numerous high-level meetings and discussions were held during the event, and initiatives and partnerships were concluded with participating entities, further cementing the Kingdom’s role as a global player in aviation and defense.

The pavilion showcased Saudi Arabia’s achievements in the sector and its plans for future collaboration and innovation, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

It highlighted the Kingdom’s priority to localize over 50% of its government spending on military equipment and services by 2030, and showcased GAMI’s supply chain initiatives aimed at unlocking investment opportunities and raising industrial and service capabilities.

GAMI’s efforts were reinforced by the participation of various government entities and national companies specialized in military industries, including the Ministry of Investment, and the General Authority for Defense Development, and leading firms such as the National Company for Mechanical Systems, WAKEB Company for Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems, Milestone Aviation Services, and Homat Al-Watan Company.

The pavilion underscored Saudi Arabia’s commitment to achieving the goals of Vision 2030 by localizing advanced technologies, fostering innovation, and enabling collaboration between national and international companies. It also emphasized the Kingdom’s openness to global investors seeking opportunities in its burgeoning defense sector.

GAMI’s initiatives, including its industrial participation program and regulatory frameworks, have created a robust environment for investment. This not only enhances the Kingdom’s military capabilities, it also contributes to the growth of the national economy by leveraging the sector’s market size and its positive impact on other industries.

The Saudi pavilion at Airshow China 2024 reflected the Kingdom’s ambition to lead in the global military industries arena, driven by innovation, collaboration, and a clear vision for the future.
