Sayyid Hamoud Faisal Al Busaidi, Oman’s Minister of Interior received Sunday Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation and means of enhancing them. They also discussed several matters of mutual interest in a bid to enhance relations between the two countries.
The two Ministers underscored the importance of mutual coordination and consultation, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
The meeting was attended by Major General Abdullah Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, Eng. Khalid Hilal Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman and several officials from both sides.
Meantime, Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of Oman’s National Defence College (NDC) received in his office at Bait Al Falaj Camp Monday a delegation from the National Defence University of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed several military topics of mutual interest.
The visiting delegation listened to a briefing about the college, its facilities and equipment. They also toured the NDC’s various departments.
The meeting was attended by members of the academic faculty in the NDC and the Military Attaché of Pakistan’s Embassy in Muscat.
In the same context, members of the visiting delegation also visited the Joint Command and Staff College at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies.
Upon their arrival to the college, the guests were greeted by Brigadier Saif Hamad Al Yousefi, Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College.
The delegation viewed a presentation about the Joint Command and Staff College, its curricula and training programmes. They also toured the college’s facilities and departments.
