His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army, attended on Sunday a ceremony held by JAF to mark the 57th anniversary of Al Karamah Battle, according to a Royal Court statement, Petra news agency reported.
Upon arrival at the memorial site for the martyrs of Al Karamah Battle, His Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti and senior officers.
The King inspected the Honour Guards, then laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and recited verses from the Holy Quran.
Their Royal Highnesses Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, adviser to His Majesty and National Policies Council chairperson; and Prince Rashid bin El Hassan, adviser to His Majesty; as well as His Highness Prince Mired bin Ra’ad, Chief Royal Councilor at the Royal Hashemite Court, and senior officials and officers attended the ceremony.
