Nexter at AUSA & EURONAVAL 2012
19.10.2012 Europe
Having inherited more than 300 years of know-how in the service of the Armed Forces of France and its allies, Nexter is one of the leading European defense companies and now supplies equipment to more than a hundred Armies, Navies and Air Forces worldwide.
Nexter will exhibit two of its most innovative products during the AUSA show, from 22-24 October. The XP2, showcased in its APC version, could be a vehicle representative of the AMPV program. With this vehicle, Nexter's aim is to develop and integrate bricks of innovative technologies in vetronics, protection and mobility to provide capabilities similar to those of a combat vehicle.
The CTAS 40mm gun, developed to provide a future-proof capability against armored threats by CTAI, a joint venture between Nexter Systems and BAE, will also be exhibited on the Group's stand. It is a versatile, lethal and highly effective solution for infantry combat and reconnaissance.
As a leading supplier of high-performance weapons systems and protection systems for Naval Forces (vessels and air assets), Nexter will also be an exhibitor at the EURONAVAL 2012 show during the same week.
The NARWHALÒ remotely controlled 20mm turret, which is now fitted to FREMM frigates, will be on show on a special simulation table which will allow dynamic demonstrations to be given on the stand. Other naval equipment supplied by Nexter will also be on show such as ViPer, the Optsys local situational awareness and driver vision enhancement system, or the PBS console, the FREMM frigate control panel developed by Nexter Electronics and DCNS. Nexter Munitions will also be an exhibitor with its entire medium-caliber and naval ammunition range.
