General Dynamics announced that General Dynamics Land Systems’ President Gary L. Whited has informed the company of his intent to retire effective April 1, 2020.

Whited will be succeeded by Danny Deep, who currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of General Dynamics Land Systems.

“Gary Whited has served General Dynamics with distinction for 23 years. His ability to align the company’s efforts with customer needs has ensured that General Dynamics is well positioned for the future to deliver market-leading products to the U.S. military and our allies,” said Mark C. Roualet, Executive Vice President for the company’s Combat Systems group.

“Danny Deep is a proven leader with decades of experience designing, manufacturing and sustaining the world's most advanced combat platforms,” he added.

General Dynamics Land Systems, headquartered in Sterling Heights, Michigan, is the global leader in the design, engineering, production, support and sustainment of tracked and wheeled military vehicles. It is a business unit of General Dynamics, a global aerospace and defense company headquartered in Reston, Virginia.
