23.01.2010 Bahrain
ADS, a leading UK-based aerospace, defence and security trade organisation, said it has plans to set up a regional office in Bahrain in order to support the growing market in the Middle East.
'The Middle East is a vibrant and growing market for the world-leading products that our members deliver for their customers', ADS Chairman Ian Godden told reporters at the inaugural of Bahrain International Airshow.
The UK aerospace, defence and security industries, as number one in Europe and second only to the US globally, see the Middle East as a key source of future partnerships and mutually-beneficial business arrangements", he added.
Godden said that the organisation was likely to open a network of offices in the Middle East region 'but Bahrain is a key location'.
He said this 'was a major step in the international strategy of ADS augmenting its existing international offices in Toulouse, France, and in New Delhi and Bangalore, India'.
"With a large number of our 850 members coming from the agile and innovative small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector, our office in Bahrain will offer them an effective base in the Middle East,' Godden added.
