A joint Bahrain-Pakistani military maritime exercise has concluded in Manama Thursday.

The Royal Bahrain Naval Force (RBAF) special maritime force conducted the drill with a maritime commando contingent from the Pakistani force.

The joint drill focused on military applications, including diving and helicopter parachute landings, according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

Meanwhile, the Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa also inspected on Thursday a BDF unit.

He listened to a briefing by its commander on the needed preparations to boost the unit's combat readiness and administrative competence.

The BDF Commander-in-Chief lauded the unit's modernization and training programs as well as its sustainable development schemes which aim to further boost its military performance in light of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander.
