Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, inaugurated the National Defence and Security Forum, held under the theme “Strategic Integration: Challenges and Opportunities”.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad highlighted Bahrain’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to supporting efforts to enhance military and security integration as a strategic priority for ensuring security at national, regional, and international levels.

The event aligns with the strategic vision of His Majesty the King and is supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister. The Forum is held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and attended by Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasised that the Forum, the first of its kind in Bahrain, aims to exchange perspectives on maintaining and enhancing strategic integration across all relevant military and security sectors. This initiative stems from His Majesty the King’s vision for fostering joint efforts to develop defence systems and comprehensive security, contributing to peace and stability, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

He also acknowledged the guidance and support of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), in advancing strategic integration across all military and security sectors.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad extended his appreciation to the BDF, National Guard, Ministry of Interior, National Intelligence Agency, and Strategic Security Bureau for their contributions to the Forum’s success. He commended the achievements and foundations established by the efforts of all government entities involved.

The Forum, organised by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Defence Council, took place from January 28–29 and included panel discussions focusing on various aspects of national security.
