His Highness Staff Commander Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa visited Thursday the Eastern Fleet of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
Upon arriving at the King Abdulaziz Naval Base in Jubail, His Highness was received by the Commander of the Eastern Fleet, Rear Admiral Sajer bin Rafeed Al-Anezi, and several senior Fleet officials, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
His Highness emphasised the strength of the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which continue to advance at all levels with the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
His Highness further highlighted the unwavering commitment of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, to further strengthen the bilateral partnership to achieve mutual goals and aspirations.
His Highness Staff Commander Shaikh Isa bin Salman was briefed by the Commander of the Eastern Fleet on the Fleet's tasks, duties, combat readiness, and work plans. During his tour of the King Abdulaziz Naval Base, His Highness was informed about the various types of warships and met with several ship commanders and naval crew members.
His Highness underscored the important role of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, alongside the armed forces of allies, in consolidating regional security and stability. His Highness noted their combat readiness, competencies, and expertise in performing their duties.
His Highness emphasised the importance of further bolstering bilateral cooperation and coordination in military and defense fields to achieve joint aspirations.
His Highness concluded by extending his gratitude to the Commander of the Eastern Fleet and crew members for their warm welcome and reception, wishing them continued success in their future endeavors.
In another development, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), inspected a BDF unit on Thursday.
He was briefed on the development and modernisation plans to fulfil tasks and requirements assigned to the unit.
The Commander-in-Chief said that the BDF has made continuous development strides since its establishment, under the leadership and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the constant follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister.
The Commander-in-Chief expressed his appreciation for the efforts of BDF servicemen in performing their national duty with dedication and efficiency to protect the nation’s gains and civilised achievements.
