Bahrain’s National Guard Staff Director Inspects Naval Unit

Lieutenant General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s National Guard Staff Director, inspected Sunday one of the naval units in the northern part of the Kingdom.

Lt. General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud was briefed on the unit’s readiness and its training and operational plans, as well as efforts in meeting the development goals within the National Guard’s five-year strategic plans.

He underscored the progress and development achieved by the unit on both land and sea, under the directives of General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, to strengthen its role within the Kingdom’s security and defence system, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

In another development, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received Steven C. Bondy, Ambassador of the United States to Bahrain.

Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al Noaimi, Defence Affairs Minister, was present.

During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief commended the Bahrain-US relations in various sectors, particularly in military and defence coordination and cooperation.

Lastly, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BNA) received Monday Lieutenant Colonel Clement Noel, the outgoing French Military Attaché to Bahrain residing in Riyadh.

Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defense Affairs, was present.

The Commander-in-Chief expressed his thanks to the Military Attaché for his efforts during his tenure, wishing him continued success in performing his new duties.
