Egyptian Commander-in-Chief Receives Kenyan Defense Minister

General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met last week with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kenya, Mr. Aden Bare Duale, and his accompanying delegation during their visit to Egypt.

The meeting was marked by an official reception at the Ministry of Defense’s General Secretariat, accompanied by military bands playing the national anthems of both countries, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The meeting addressed several topics of mutual interest, focusing on enhancing partnership and military and security cooperation between the two countries. Discussions also touched upon the current developments on both regional and international fronts and their implications for the African continent.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces emphasized his pride in the military cooperation between the Egyptian and Kenyan armed forces in various fields.

For his part, the Kenyan Defense Minister praised Egyptian efforts in establishing the foundations of security and stability within the African continent, expressing his country’s aspiration for further coordination and cooperation to meet the common interests of both nations.
