Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, witnessed the practical exercise of the most appropriate method of implementing specialized security measures for one of the formations of the Third Field Army, as part of the combat training plan for units and formations of the Armed Forces.
Major General Sherif Al-Araishi, Commander of the Third Field Army, delivered a speech emphasizing the Third Field Army’s commitment to maintaining the highest levels of combat efficiency to be able to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively under various circumstances.
The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces inspected the participating personnel in the exercise, assessed their technical and combat proficiency, and ensured their readiness and understanding of the tasks assigned to them, , the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
Following that, the phases of the exercise were presented, which included security and prevention measures and dealing with various situations that may arise during operations, in collaboration with several specialized departments of the Armed Forces. This demonstrated the readiness and high combat preparedness of all participating personnel and their ability to perform specialized tasks using the latest tools and equipment.
At the end of the exercise, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces conveyed the greetings and appreciation of General Mohamed Zaki, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to the personnel of the Third Field Army, commending the outstanding level of all participating personnel and emphasizing the importance of specialized training for all personnel to hone their tactical and field skills and exploit the nature of the terrain to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and combat readiness within the units and formations.
A number of the Armed Forces Commanders attended the exercise.
In another development, the Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, met with Mr. Brett McGuirk, the Middle East and North Africa Coordinator for the US National Security Council, and the accompanying delegation during their visit to Egypt.
The meeting addressed the current regional developments in light of the ongoing military operations within the Gaza Strip and its extremely difficult humanitarian consequences, as well as the efforts made in light of current initiatives to cease fire, open crossings, and intensify the access of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip.
