General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Major General Ahmed El-Awadi, Chairman of the Defense and National Security Committee in the House of Representatives, and the Committee members.

The meeting was held at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, with the presence of Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

During the meeting, the Committee members congratulated both General Saqr and Major General El-Awadi on the trust placed in them by the political leadership through their new appointments.

They further expressed their wishes for their success and praised the Armed Forces’ efforts in supporting security and stability in the region, as well as maintaining high levels of capability and readiness to protect Egyptian national security in all strategic directions.

The Chief of the Armed Forces commended the national role of the Defense and National Security Committee in the House of Representatives in addressing issues that reinforce the foundations of Egyptian national security.

He emphasized the readiness and preparedness of the Armed Forces to carry out all assigned tasks under various conditions to safeguard Egypt’s sacred territory in light of the regional and international threats and challenges. (Source & Photo © Egyptian Ministry of Defense)
