Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, and his accompanying delegation have returned to the homeland following the completion of his official visit to Qatar.
During the visit, Lt. General Ahmed Khalifa met with His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense of Qatar.
The meeting covered several topics of mutual interest, leading to a consensus on the developments, challenges facing national security in the region, and the importance of coordinating efforts and working together to address these challenges, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
Lt. General Ahmed Khalifa was formally received and held a meeting with Staff Lt. General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al-Nabit, Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, on the sidelines of the second meeting of the Egyptian-Qatari Military Committee aimed at enhancing military cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting highlighted the efforts of the joint military committee members and the results achieved in various military fields. It also discussed ways to further enhance military cooperation in training and the exchange of expertise between the Egyptian and Qatar Armed Forces.
In turn, Staff Lt. General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al-Nabit emphasized his country’s commitment to supporting the prospects of military cooperation with Egypt in the forthcoming period.
Following the meeting, the Chiefs of Staff of both Armed Forces signed the minutes of the final session of the second Egyptian-Qatar Military Committee meeting. They then visited Al Zaeem (the Leader) Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Air College, where they were briefed on the college’s advanced capabilities and the training system for Qatari pilots in line with the latest training methodologies.
They also visited the National Service Academy, where the role and operational system of the academy were reviewed, emphasizing its use of scientific methods to prepare and qualify Qatari youth for various fields of national service.
