Iraq’s Minister of Defense Inspects Reconstruction Stages at Military College

Iraq’s Minister of Defense, Mr. Thabet Mohammed Al-Abbasi, visited last week the headquarters of the Military College (Heroes Factory) in Rustumiyah, the Ministry said in a statement.

His Excellency conducted a field tour during which he viewed the advanced reconstruction campaign, such as the buildings, swimming pool and sports halls, praising the speed of the advanced work therein.

In the same context, the Minister of Defense visited the headquarters of the First Military College Guard and Protection Regiment to inspect the regiment’s administration and the staff restaurant after the renovation.

During his visit, the Minister of Defense was accompanied by the Assistant Chief of Staff of the Army for Military Studies and the President of the Defense University.

Earlier, the Minister of Defense inspected the Habbaniyah site command and its joints, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army for Supply, Lieutenant General Hamid Anad, and senior officers of the Ministry of Defense.

His Excellency was briefed on the situation of the units affiliated with the Habbaniyah Site Command, in line with the slogan of the Year of Achievements launched by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, stressing the necessity of addressing and overcoming the negatives and raising the level of the units in service of the valiant Iraqi Army.
