Activities of the preliminary planning conference for Eager Lion 2024 exercise kicked off Sunday at Sheraton Hotel in Amman, in the presence of Director of Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army’s Military Training, Brigadier General Hassan Khalidi, as well as a number of JAF Officers and Commanders and civil officials from other brotherly and friendly countries participating in the drill.
In his speech at the conference, Khalidi said the exercise represents an “exceptional opportunity for all of us to strengthen ties and exchange knowledge and capabilities between our countries’ Armed Forces,” Petra news agency reported.
Khalidi also reiterated the joint commitment to strengthening regional and international security and response capabilities, calling on all participants to achieving “constructive and innovative” thinking and “resilient” planning to realize desired goals and ensure a “successful and productive” military exercise.
The 5-day conference aims to focus on discussing number and type of the participating troops, unifying their operational concepts, identifying appropriate training terrains, determining required logistical support and setting the conference’s main planning agenda.
Eager Lion 2024 exercise will be carried out in Jordan during next May 12-23.
