Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, on Thursday visited the Royal Artillery Corps Command.

During his visit, Huneiti was briefed on the Corps’ missions, duties, and training programs, as well as its role in supporting various formations of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army.

Huneiti stated that the JAF’s General Command continues to implement plans, aimed at developing the corps, aimed to enhance its capabilities and maintaining its readiness to protect and defend the homeland.

Hneiti stressed the need to focus on various operational and training aspects to ensure the “efficient and adequate” Implementation of duties under all circumstances, Petra news agency reported.

Concluding the visit, Huneiti wrote a note in the visitors’ logbook, expressing pride in the “distinguished” level, competence, professionalism, and “high” morale of the Royal Artillery Corps personnel.

In another development, a senior military source in the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) - Arab Army announced that the Northern Military Zone successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by two individuals attempting to cross from Syrian territory on Saturday.

The source stated that rules of engagement were applied, leading to the arrest of the suspects as they attempted to illegally cross the international border. The individuals were subsequently transferred to the relevant authorities for further legal proceedings.

JAF reaffirmed their commitment to acting with full force and determination to prevent infiltration and smuggling attempts, ensuring the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
