The Saudi Safety and Security (SSS) Exhibition and Conference was officially opened on Monday by HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

A large crowd of dignitaries, government bodies, safety and security professionals gathered to witness the opening ceremony and hear speakers from the Department of Civil Defense and the principal sponsors Cassidian and SFFECO.

On the first day, keynote speeches included:

• Planning for emergency response
• Integration of site safety and security with the emergency services
• Security planning and operational response in CRBN industrial and civil scenarios

Other presentations and case studies from Saudi and international industrial specialists planned for the remaining two days include:

SSS is taking place at Dhahran International Exhibition Center (Dammam, Saudi Arabia) from 01-03 March 2011.
