Deputy Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Army Major General Sheikh Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, met with the Commander of the Saudi Royal Air Force, Lieutenant General Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, to discuss important topics of mutual interest, particularly those related to enhancing the frameworks of military cooperation between the two countries.

This came in a statement issued by the Kuwait Army General Staff on Tuesday, after Lieutenant General Turki bin Abdulaziz received Major General Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation as part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

In another major development, a Syrian delegation led by newly appointed Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shibani arrived in Riyadh on Wednesday in its first official visit abroad, Syrian state news agency SANA reported, citing a Foreign Ministry source.

The delegation includes new Syrian Defence Minister Murhaf Abu Qasra.
