DCI Reinforces its Action in Kuwait
23.10.2010 Kuwait
DCI announced that its DESCO department implemented a hyperbaric medicine centre at the Kuwait City military hospital during the first quarter of 2010.
This project is the extension of training for Kuwaiti divers already performed by DCI-NAVFCO in order to propose a global service including the divers' safety. In addition to the hyperbaric chamber supplied by the French company TECHPLUS, the project includes the building of infrastructures to house the centre along with medical assistance.
Hyperbaric technology is mainly used to deal with decompression accidents that occur during underwater dives. It can also be used in casualty and intensive care wards to treat carbon monoxide intoxications or necrosed tissue.
The project, executed for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, illustrates DCI-DESCO's ability to provide «turnkey» solutions combining consulting, training, assistance, equipment supply and associated services. Specialist in the transfer of French Defense Acquisition Agency (DGA) know-how in managing state-of-the-art programs, DCI-DESCO provides services to its institutional customers as a comprehensive solutions operator, in partnership with the sector's French industrialists.
«DCI-DESCO is pleased to reinforce its action in the State of Kuwait, DCI's long standing partner», said Philippe Juliot, DCI-DESCO's Managing Director. « Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense acknowledgement of DCI's added value on this innovative project confirms our capability to manage complex programs», he added.
