Kuwait’s Chief of Staff Visits Marine Force; Affirms Army’s Readiness to Face Security Threats

Chief of Staff of Kuwait Army Lieutenant General Bandar Al-Muzain affirmed the need to be alert and ready to defend Kuwait’s security against threats.

Lieutenant General Al-Muzain made the remarks in a press statement on Thursday, after concluding a visit to the Marine Force, where he hailed their efforts to protect the country’s marine borders and waters.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Al-Muzain learned of the duties and tasks executed by the Marine Force, its preparation to face threats and the future plans and training courses for its members, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

In another development, Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah on Sunday witnessed the draw for the selection of officers, non-commissioned officers, and individuals applying for supervisory positions at the Unified Military Command.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousuf stressed that the application of the lottery system to choose the applicants is to promote transparency, justice and equity. The First Deputy PM blessed his fellow officers, non-commissioned officers, and individuals who were selected and urged them to do their best to represent and defend their Kuwait and the army, wishing them success in their new work tasks.
