The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, received Monday at his office in Yarzeh the Hungarian Chief of Defense Staff, Lieutenant General Gabor Borondi (photo) with an accompanying delegation in the presence of the Military Attaché, Colonel Jozsef Gulyas.
They discussed the cooperation relations between the armies of both countries. General Borondi commended the performance of the military institution in facing current challenges and emphasized the importance of continued support to enable it to carry out its missions effectively, the Lebanese Army said in a statement.
On Tuesday, the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander received Ambassador Hans Peter van Der Woude, of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. They signed a joint cooperation agreement between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Army Command to support the military institution through the Civil-Military Cooperation Directorate (CIMIC).
Lastly, the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander also received Tuesday the Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alaa Eddin Abdel Moneim Mohamed Moussa, on a courtesy visit on the occasion of assuming his mission in Lebanon.
The Ambassador was accompanied by the Egyptian Military Attaché, Colonel Amr Khalil Tawfik Shahin.
Lastly, General Aoun also received the Head of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) mission, General Patrick Gauchat, along with an accompanying delegation, and they discussed the situation at the southern borders.
