Patria & Al Taif Technical Services Sign MoU

Al Taif Technical Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary by Mubadala Development Company, signed a MoU with Patria, a leading defense, security, and aerospace group, to help enhance the UAE Armed Forces support services.
Al Taif Technical Services is a leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul, and upgrade services for heavy utility vehicles, ground support equipment and fighting platforms.
Cyril Arar, Al Taif CEO and Heikki Allonen, Patria CEO inked the strategic partnership agreement at the IDEX 2011 exhibition in Abu Dhabi this past week.
The primary objective is to serve Al Taif’s existing customer, the UAE Armed Forces General Headquarters, in addition to enhance and help in the growth of the technical support services of both companies. both CEO's said after signing the deal.
“This MoU is the beginning of a successful partnership between Al Taif and Patria. We are excited to work with Patria as we jointly explore prospective areas of cooperation and further develop business opportunities,' Arar remarked.
Patria is owned by the State of Finland and the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company EADS. Its business unit, Patria Land Systems, develops markets and manufactures armored wheeled vehicles, and provides life cycle support.
On the contract win, Allonen said, 'Patria will provide all the support by introducing best business process practice to achieve and maintain customer satisfaction.'
