Launch of GATM & GATE Events in Dubai
12.03.2012 UAE
F&E Aerospace, industry, Organizers of the Dubai Airshow and Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA), announced the launch a new event - Gulf Air Traffic Management (GATM) which will be co-located with the second edition of the Gulf Aviation Training Event (GATE) on 19-20 September 2012, at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel, Dubai.
F&E Aerospace is thus increasing its portfolio of aerospace events, recognizing the rapid growth of the Middle East aviation industry which is subsequently creating airspace management challenges for air navigation service providers across the MENA region.
Identifying this growing issue F&E Aerospace designed GATM, allowing distinguished senior airspace policy experts to come together to address these issues and develop workable solutions that can then be implemented within the region.
GATM will contribute to timely resolutions in different industry sectors by providing a platform to debate, discuss and define the key challenges whilst facilitating a unique networking opportunity for the air traffic managers, authorities, airlines and equipment suppliers to interact together socially.
With the second edition of GATE taking place in September, it will be set to address the growing demand for people in aviation as emphasized in a recent article in Arab News, where Boeing released the 2011 Pilot and Technician Outlook (CMO), more than 2,500 airplanes are expected to be ordered by airlines in the Middle East over the next 20 years.
This report is therefore significant for the region as 36,600 new pilots and 53,000 new skilled maintenance personnel are required to staff the region’s airlines between now and 2030.
F&E Aerospace launched GATE alongside November’s Dubai Airshow, with such alarming figures it was no surprise GATE was proclaimed a success allowing attendees the opportunity to gain insight and competitive advantage from some of the best minds in air transport flight training - highlighting efficient aviation training is vital for the prospective success of the burgeoning aerospace industry in the region.
