The 13th edition of the Dubai Air Show will take place 17 to 21 December 2013 and is moving to a brand new purpose built home at Dubai World Central (DWC), located in Jebel Ali, Dubai.

The international aerospace show is continuing to grow - the last edition drew 960 exhibitors from 50 countries up by 8% on 2009 and 56,548 visitors which also saw an increase of 7%.

Dubai World Central is located in the Jebel Ali area of Dubai, easily accessible from both Sheikh Zayed and Emirates Roads. Dubai Marina is situated just 20 minutes drive away, Jumeirah Beach area 25 minutes and the Mall of the Emirates is 35 minutes.

The new venue offers many benefits; the exhibition space and footprint will now total 645,000sqm in size, making it more than double the size of the old site at Airport Expo.

The purpose built show site will offer a larger static park with fewer flying restrictions, whilst the outdoor area will also provide three times more parking spaces than at the previous site totaling over 4,000 parking spaces.

Following a growing trend within Air Shows, the new site will also feature more locations for outdoor pavilions that can remain permanently fixed.

Alison Weller, Managing Director of the Organizers, F&E Aerospace, said: “Our future is bright and I know we share that optimistic outlook with the region. The new location will illustrate the evolution of the Dubai Air show marking a pivotal moment for F&E Aerospace as we open in our brand new purpose built home in Jebel Ali, the venue offers some great opportunities for us as show organizers and we will be announcing some new ideas shortly.”

The Dubai Air Show is organized under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and in co-operation with Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Airports and the UAE Armed Forces.
