A report on ‘OPVs & corvettes in the Middle East’ said regional governments’ are investing over US$20 billion on offshore patrol vessels to combat maritime threats. This explains why OPVs are now becoming the fastest-growing segment of the naval vessel market in the region.
The report provides an overview of the region’s procurement plans and further defines the opportunities existing in this market. It also highlights how priorities for OPVs vary across the Middle East, with improving the combat systems upon vessels and the procurement of agile Fast Attack Crafts (FACs) as the leading trends across the region’s maritime forces.
Organized by IQPC, the 6th Annual Offshore Patrol Vessels Middle East conference will take place at the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Resort & Spa in Kuwait City from 09 to 11 October 2017.
