The General Directorate of the Saudi Border Guards, represented by the Interior Ministry’s Academy for Border Security, and Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), signed in Riyadh a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen strategic partnerships with regional and international entities.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Border Guards Director General Major General Shaya bin Salem Al-Wadaani, and the AASTMT President Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Farag, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The MoU aims to enhance collaborative efforts in education, training, and scientific research, along with promoting the exchange of expertise and the development of academic and training programs.
For 50 years, AASTMT had many achievements in education, training and research in the fields of maritime transport, engineering and management sciences. This is due to the methodological application of modern technology in these fields.
The vision, mission, and core values of the AASTMT reflect its philosophy since its establishment, as well as an affirmation of its desire to be the beacon of science in Egypt and the Arab region. They also highlight that the AASTMT is an effective agent in achieving sustainable economic and social development.
AASTMT has 6 campuses in Egypt (El Alamein, Alexandria, Cairo, Smart Village, Port Said and Aswan – South Valley), in addition to one campus in Latakia, Syrian Arab Republic.
