Egypt’s Commander-in-Chief Attends Strategic Command Centers Exercise for Air & Air Defense Forces

General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, witnessed the execution of the main phase of the Strategic Command Centers exercise for one of the formations of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces.

This phase took place over several days as part of the combat training plan for the formations and units of the Armed Forces. Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, as well as Commanders of the main branches and several other military Commanders attended the exercise, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

Major General Yasser Kamal Al-Toudy, Commander of the Air Defense Forces, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the commitment of the Air Defense personnel to achieve the highest levels of combat readiness, enabling them to perform all assigned tasks in defense of the nation's security and safety. This commitment is part of the integrated operational framework of the Armed Forces to protect Egypt’s skies and secure its airspace.

General Abdel Mageed Saqr conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, highlighting his pride in the efforts of the Air Force and Air Defense personnel in carrying out their assigned missions. He also engaged with several participants regarding their management of various operational situations, commending the planning, organization, and coordination efforts between the Air Force and Air Defense Forces. He noted their capability to execute joint missions to confront various aerial threats, reflecting the high combat readiness of the personnel involved in the exercise.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, had previously witnessed one of the exercise phases, which included presentations of decisions and collaborative organizational procedures from various specializations. He also discussed the execution of tasks with several leaders and officers, imposing a number of unexpected tactical scenarios to ensure their ability to make sound decisions during operations management.
