Bahrain’s Defense Minister Receives US Congress Delegation

Bahrain’s Defense Minister Lieutenant General Yusef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma (photo) received a delegation from the US Congress. He welcomed them and discussed with them bilateral cooperation and issues of common interest, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.


The meeting was attended by Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Supply and Catering Rear Admiral Yusef Ahmed Malallah.

 

For his part, Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received outgoing Liaison Officer at the Jordanian Embassy in Bahrain Brigadier Dr. Awadh Mohammed Al-Tarawna who introduced to him newly-appointed Liaison Officer Brigadier Ibrahim Hamdi Atallah Al Majali. 


The BDF Commander-in-Chief welcomed them, lauding the efforts of the former Liaison Officer and wishing him success in his new duties. He also wished the new Liaison Officer every success in performing the military missions assigned with him, lauding deep-rooted fraternal relations between Bahrain and Jordan and keenness on bolstering them.


Earlier this week, BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received Lt-General Edward Davis, Governor of Gibraltar.


The Commander-in-Chief praised the historical relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, noting the advanced relations in various fields especially in military and defense cooperation that serves the common interest.
