Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief chaired the first meeting of the Military Institution for the Development of Warfare Industries.
Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, and Royal Guard Commander, as well as Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Defence Affairs Minister attended the meeting.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed highlighted the continued progress of the BDF to advance its military and combat systems, led by His Majesty King Hamad Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister.
He noted that the BDF is currently focused on military manufacturing and weapons and investment in specialised military research and optimising training programmes to match those requirements, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
In another development, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited Wednesday the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
Upon arrival, HM the King was received by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Commander-in-Chief of BDF, Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Commander of the Royal Guard’s Special Force, Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs and senior BDF staff.
HM the King praised the continuous development of the BDF in various disciplines and the high efficiency of its staff.
HM King Hamad expressed his confidence and appreciation to BDF’s staff, wishing them further success in performing their duties.
