His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of Bahrain Armed Forces, received Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), at Al Sakhir Palace.
His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of HM the King; Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander; Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Guard Special Force Commander; and His Highness Colonel Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, were present.
During the meeting, HM the King was briefed on the future plans to develop all weaponry and units of the BDF, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
HM King Hamad expressed his appreciation and pride in all the BDF members for their unwavering commitment to fulfilling their duties with sincerity, contributing to the security of the nation and its citizens, and the stability of the region. His Majesty highlighted their dedication to the national duties, which has been demonstrated in numerous tasks entrusted to them.
HM the King also commended the regional and international sports achievements of the BDF and noted that these accomplishments are part of the Kingdom’s various sports accomplishments, within the framework of the comprehensive development process in all domains.
HM King Hamad instructed the senior officers to convey his greetings to all members of the BDF at their various positions within the kingdom and abroad.
In another development, the BDF Commander-in-Chief received Monday Sultan Ali Yousef Mohammed Al Khater, the newly appointed Ambassador of Qatar to Bahrain.
Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, was present.
During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief commended the strong Bahrain-Qatar relations. He wished the Ambassador success in performing his diplomatic duties.
