General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, inspected several Armed Forces units scheduled to participate in a mission under the African Union.

The visit was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and several senior military leaders, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

Major General Abd El-Moaty Abd El-Aziz Allam, Commander of the Central Military Zone, delivered a speech emphasizing the commitment of the General Command of the Armed Forces to equip the Central Military Zone with the latest resources for combat training fields, ensuring outstanding preparation and training for the forces scheduled to be deployed as part of the African Union mission.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces was briefed on the detailed preparations, technical and administrative readiness of the participating forces. These preparations were carried out scientifically, using advanced weapons, equipment, and modern technological tools.

He also inspected several training fields and educational facilities equipped with the latest resources for military preparation across various specializations. Additionally, he observed training drills that highlighted the high level of competence of the forces, ensuring their ability to carry out missions supporting security and stability, reflecting Egypt's historic commitment to its African neighbors.

General Abdel Mageed Saqr conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the troops. He affirmed that the participation of the Armed Forces in the international mission reflects Egypt’s continued leadership role regionally and globally, as well as its dedication to addressing international peace and security challenges and promoting principles of stability and peace.

He urged the participating troops to serve as role models of discipline, dedication, and integrity, emphasizing that they are Egypt’s finest ambassadors abroad. Their competent and honorable performance enhances Egypt’s regional and international stature and reflects the state's vision and commitment to upholding noble humanitarian principles, ensuring a safe and secure life for all peoples.
