Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday the conclusion of the third Kuwait-Pakistan military cooperation committee meeting, held in Kuwait on November 25-27.
In a press release, the Ministry stated that the two-day meeting was attended by Rear Admiral Salah Al-Salal and Director General of Pakistan’s Joint Staff, Major General Munir Ud Din.
The meeting discussed Kuwait-Pakistan military matters and ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
Earlier this month, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, received in his office on 05 November Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir.
During the meeting, they explored means of developing bilateral relations, especially in the military field. They also discussed several issues of mutual concern, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Advisor Musaed Al-Aiban; President of General Intelligence Khalid Al-Humaidan; Advisor to the Royal Court Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri; Chief of General Staff General Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili, and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Al-Malki attended the meeting.
For his part, the Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz separately met with Pakistani Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir.
The two sides reviewed their historical relations and discussed ways to enhance strategic cooperation in the military and defense fields. They also addressed several issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf and senior Saudi officials, along with Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq and several high-ranking Pakistani officials.
