Air Vice Marshal Mattar bin Ali al- Obaidani, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) met in Islamabad with Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force (photo), within the framework of his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
During the meeting, an official session of talks was held between the two sides, in which they discussed a number of matters of common concern, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
RAFO Commander also met with Admiral Zafar Abbasi, Chief of Naval Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The meeting reviewed the strong relations between the two sides.
The two meetings were attended by the delegation accompanying RAFO Commander and a number of Pakistani senior officers.
Meanwhile, Mohammed bin Nasser al-Rasbi, Secretary General at Oman’s Ministry of Defense received in his office at Mu’askar Al Murtafa’ Lt. General Sir John Lorimer, Defense Senior Advisor to the Middle East in the United Kingdom (UK).
The meeting exchanged cordial conversations and touched on several matters of common concern between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by the SAF senior officers and the British Ambassador to the Sultanate
Lt. General Ahmed bin Harith al-Nabhani, Chief-of-Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) also received in his office the visiting Defense Senior Advisor to the Middle East in the UK.
The meeting exchanged viewpoints and discussed a range of military matters of common concern, as well as the mechanism of promoting the existing military coordination and cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Saif bin Hamdan al-Busaidi, Acting Assistant SAF Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning and senior SAF officers.
Lastly, Lt. General Ahmed bin Harith al-Nabhani, Chief-of-Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) received Vice-Admiral Boo Suk-jong, Chief Director of Military Support of the Republic of Korea.
The meeting which exchanged viewpoints and discussed a range of matters of common concern, was attended by Brigadier Saleh bin Ahmed al- Hinai, Head of Military Protocols and Public Relations at COSAF, senior SAF officers and the Military Attaché of the Korean Embassy in Muscat.
For his part, Commodore Said bin Abdullah al-Sa’edi, Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) also received Vice-Admiral Boo Suk-jong, Chief Director of Military Support of the Republic of Korea.
The meeting exchanged cordial conversations and discussed viewpoints on several matters related to naval fields between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by Commodore Ali bin Abdullah al-Balushi, Director General of Administration and Finance, Commodore Eng. Marhoon bin Mansoor al-Riyami, Director-General of Support at the RNO Command and the Military Attaché at the Korean Embassy in Muscat.
