The Military Technological College (MTC) of the Sultanate of Oman organized the first international conference for aerospace sciences, engineering and technology.
Speakers from 16 countries participated in the three-day conference, held on 03-05 October 2024, under the auspices of Eng. Naif Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The participants discussed various research papers and studied experiments and scholarly deliberations about aerodynamics, the development of avionics systems and innovations in emerging technologies, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition was held on innovations in the field of aviation, engineering, technology and electronic applications.
The event seeks to highlight technological updates and innovation. It serves as a platform for displaying new technologies and enhancing interaction between researchers, academics and other parties operating in the aviation sector.
Established under the directives of His Majesty, the Late Sultan Qaboos bin Said, may Allah rest his soul in peace, the Military Technological College (MTC) aims at integrating technological education with military training in order to be a significant tributary to the Ministry of Defence and the arms of the Sultan’s Armed Forces as well as other military and security apparatuses in Oman.
