Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison Tuesday Lt. General Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Gharibi, Chief of Staff of the Saudi Royal Naval Forces (photo) and his accompanying delegation, during their visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The two sides discussed a set of topics, including the military relations between the Royal Navy of Oman and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces. They also exchanged views on several matters of common interest.
The meeting was attended by some senior RNO officers and the Military Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Muscat, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
For his part, General Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’mani, Minister of the Royal Office also received the visiting Chief of Staff of the Saudi Royal Naval Forces and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, which was attended by Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), the two sides touched on a set of topics of mutual interest.
In another development, Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC) received in Muscat Monday a delegation from the Command and Staff College of the National Defense University of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
During the meeting, the two sides discussed several academic and training topics. The meeting was attended by several strategic advisors from the NDC.
The visiting delegation listened to a briefing on the NDC and its academic facilities and equipment. They also toured the College’s various departments.
The Saudi delegation also visited the Joint Command and Staff College (CSC). Upon their arrival, the guests were received by the CSC Acting Commandant. The guests were briefed on the CSC, its curricula and training and educational programmes. They also toured the college’s facilities and departments.
