During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed a set of military topics of mutual concern. They also reviewed areas of military cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by several RAO Officers and the Military Attaché of the Italian Embassy in Muscat, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Zaabi, Secretary General at Oman’s Ministry of Defence also received the visiting Chief of Staff of the Italian Army.
The two sides reviewed the existing relations between the two countries. They also discussed a range of topics of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Major General Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), Brigadier Ahmed Ibrahim Ambu Saidi, Director General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Defense and the Military Attaché at the Italian Embassy n Muscat.
For his part, General Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office received the Chief of Staff of the Italian Army and his accompanying military delegation.
The two sides reviewed the joint cooperation between the two countries. They also exchanged views on several regional and international issues.
The meeting was attended by Major General Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO). It was also attended by the Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Sultanate of Oman.
Lastly, the Chief of Staff of the Italian Army and his accompanying military delegation visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC).
Upon their arrival at the MSC, the delegation was greeted by Commodore Adil Hamoud Al Busaidi, Head of the MSC.
Members of the visiting delegation were briefed on the tactical roles and tasks carried out by the Centre in the safety of the Omani maritime environment. They also toured the Centre’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies used in carrying out its national duties.
