Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief-of-Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, received at his office Thursday (photo), Rear Admiral Jan De Beurme, Commander of the Belgian Navy, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Al Rumaithi welcomed De Beurme and hailed bilateral relations between the two countries and the growing joint military cooperation. They also exchanged views regarding joint military ties and ways to enhance them, UAE national news agency WAM reported.
For his part, Rear Admiral Pilot Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, also met in his office with Rear Admiral Jan De Beurme, Commander of the Belgian Navy, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations and exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest, especially in the maritime field.
In antoher development, Mattar Salem Ali Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of the UAE Ministry of Defence, received Air Vice Marshal Tejbir Singh, Senior Directing Staff at the National Defence College of India.
The Indian official, along with his accompanying delegation, is currently visiting the country as part of the College’s plan to exchange visits with other countries.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on issues of common interest.
Major General Staff Pilot Falah Muhammad Al-Qahtani, Assistant Under-Secretary for Policy and Strategic Affairs at the Ministry of Defence, also met with the Indian official, during which conversations were exchanged and joint military cooperation relations and ways to further develop them were reviewed.
At the end of the meeting, the Indian military delegation expressed their happiness with the development they witnessed in all fields.
