Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces HE Staff Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit met with Chief of the General Staff of the United Kingdom General Sir Roland Walker in Doha on Sunday.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of topics of common interest along with military cooperation between the two sides and the ways to enhance and develop them.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials and officers from both sides, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

In another development, Qatar’s Minister of State for Interior Affairs HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani discussed the latest developments in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), during a meeting with ambassadors of the bloc’s member states on Sunday.

The meeting discussed bilateral security cooperation relations between Qatar and the ASEAN Member States and the ways to boost them.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam HE Mohamed Bahrin Abu Bakar, Ambassador of Indonesia HE Ridwan Hassan, Ambassador of Vietnam HE Nguyen Huy Hiep, Ambassador of Malaysia HE Mohammad Faizal Razali, Ambassador of the Philippines HE Lillibeth Velasco Pono, Ambassador of Thailand HE Sira Swangsilpa and Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Singapore in Doha and Chair of the ASEAN Committee HE Sumaya Baqavi.
