As part of the celebration of the National Day of the People National Army (PNA), corresponding to 4th August of each year, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Algerian Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, chaired Sunday, at the National Army Circle in Béni-Messous, a ceremony in honor of PNA retirees, from the NLA, families of martyrs of national duty, as well as seriously disabled and wounded in the fight against terrorism, falling under the PNA.
On his arrival, Mr. President of the Republic was welcomed by General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the PNA, where a military formation paid him the honors, the Algerian Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the Council of Nation, the President of the People's National Assembly, the Prime Minister, the President of the Constitutional Court, Advisors to the President of the Republic, the General Commander of the Republican Guard, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defense, the Commanders of Forces and the National Gendarmerie, the Commander of the First Military Region, the Chiefs of Departments, the Directors and Chiefs of Central services of the Ministry of National Defense and PNA General Staff, senior State officials, national personalities and Mujahideen.
On this occasion, Mr. General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the PNA, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, expressing his thanks for having kindly to preside over this ceremony:
He further underlined that the People’s National Army has always been at the heart of the battles and major challenges that Algeria has experienced and that it is determined to move forward on the path of development and modernization, faithful as it is to the values and virtues of the valiant predecessors:
Subsequently, the President of the Republic honored PNA retirees from the NLA, families of martyrs of national duty, as well as the seriously disabled and the injured from the anti-terrorist fight, belonging to the PNA, by the presentation of honorary and recognition certificates, before taking a souvenir photo with the honored guests.
It is important to emphasize that on this occasion, ceremonies were chaired by the Commanders of the Military Regions, in honor of PNA retirees from the NLA, families of martyrs of national duty, as well as the disabled and the wounded in the fight against terrorism, under the PNA, where honorary and recognition certificates were given to them, in the name of the President of the Republic.
In another development, the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army carried out Saturday the inauguration of new infrastructure at the Family Rest Center in Zeralda, in the 1st Military Region.
At the start, the Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army accompanied by the Commander of the 1st Military Region and the Director of the Social Service of the Ministry of National Defense, inaugurated new infrastructures at the Family Rest Center in Zeralda, in the 1st Military Region, in the presence of the General Controller of the Army and Central Directors of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff of the PNA. Then, the General followed an exhaustive presentation on these new infrastructures, registered under the new social projects decided by the High Command of the PNA, with the aim of improving the quality of services provided by social establishments.
At the end, General Chanegriha visited the new infrastructure, where he received detailed explanations relating to it, presented by those responsible for the project. In situ, he inquired about the qualitative aspect of the work to build these infrastructures, capable of offering all the conditions of comfort and well-being to the beneficiaries.
He congratulated all those responsible for the efforts made to deliver the new infrastructure within the allotted time frame. Furthermore, he urged them to ensure their preservation and maintenance, by ensuring professional and rigorous management and by bringing together all the necessary conditions and means, capable of providing high quality services.
