Bahrain’s Royal Guard Commander, Brigadier-General HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, visited the British Ministry of Defense, where he was welcomed by UK Assistant Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Rupert Jones.
Sheikh Nasser stressed the depth of the long-standing friendly Bahraini-British relations, according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
The Royal Guard Commander lauded the existing cooperation between the two friendly countries in all fields, especially regarding the exchange of expertise and cooperation in the military field.
Sheikh Nasser also visited the British Imperial War Museum. He was accompanied by the museum’s Director-General Mrs. Diane Lees.
He Nasser toured the museum’s various halls and sections, and was informed about its collectibles and exhibits that simulated 20th century wars. He also saw pictures showing Bahrain’s involvement in World War II.
The Royal Guard Commander expressed admiration for the museum’s collectibles and exhibits, and praised Britain’s role in preserving such a valuable military history.
