Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received a delegation from the Pakistan Naval War College (photo) headed by Brigadier-General Sajjad Akbar Khan and accompanied by the Riyadh-based Pakistani Military Attaché Colonel Arshad Mukhtar, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
Sheikh Khalifa welcomed them, lauding distinguished relations of friendship between Bahrain and Pakistan and growing bilateral cooperation mainly in the military field.
The meeting was attended by Inspector General Major General Abdullah Hassan Al Nuaimi, Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Supply and Catering Rear Admiral Yusef Ahmed Malallah, Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Human Resources Major General Sheikh Ali bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Commandant of the Royal Command, Staff and National Defense College Rear Admiral Abdullah Said Al Mansoori and Military Cooperation Director Rear Admiral Mohammed Hashim Al Sadah.
For his part, National Guard Staff-Director, Major-General Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa also received the Pakistan delegation. He hailed the delegation and praised the cooperation between the two countries, noting the exchange of expertise coordination in the military field and the level of development reached by Pakistani Navy. He also briefed the delegation on the establishment and status of the National Guard.
The delegation expressed appreciation to Sheikh Abdul Aziz for the gracious reception.
Major-officer Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the Special Operations Unit, and senior officers of the National Guard were present.
Meanwhile, Commander of the Royal Guard, Brigadier -General HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received in Manama the Military Attaché at the Kuwaiti Embassy, Colonel Nasser Abdul Aziz Al Samhan.
The Royal Guard Commander praised the historic relations between the two brotherly countries.
They also reviewed areas of joint cooperation, which is growing steadily in various fields, especially the military one.
Deputy Royal Guard Commander, Brigadier-General Hamad Khalifa Al Nuaimi was also present.
