Bahrain’s King Receives Jordanian Chief of Joint Staff

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain has expressed his pride in the Bahraini-Jordanian longstanding excellent bilateral ties, emphasizing keenness on further bolstering them at all levels, especially the military cooperation, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

 

His Majesty’s remarks came today as he received Jordanian Armed Forces Chief of Joint Staff Lt-General Mahmoud A. Fraihat and his accompanying delegation visiting Bahrain to participate in the Joint Committee meetings, and in the presence of BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.


The Jordanian military official conveyed to His Majesty the King the greetings of Jordan’s HM King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussain and his best wishes to Bahrain and its people of perpetual progress and prosperity.


His Majesty praised Jordan’s role led by HM King Abdullah II in supporting Arab and Islamic issues and contributions in supporting security, stability and peace in the region, wishing the Joint Committee more success in boosting the fraternal cooperation in the military fields to consolidate the strong bilateral ties. He also praised the Joint Committee efforts in boosting the bilateral ties on both sides, wishing them success.


The Jordanian official expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the King for his constant keenness and attention to development of the firm solidarity bonds between the two brotherly countries.

 

For his part, Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received Jordanian Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Abdul Halim Freihat and his accompanying delegation on the occasion of his visit to Bahrain heading Jordan’s delegation to the 15th meeting of the High Bahrain-Jordan Military Cooperation Committee.

 

Bahrain’s Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi also attended the meeting.


The BDF Commander-in-Chief welcomed the Jordanian Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and reviewed with him bilateral military cooperation. He praised solid ties binding the two brotherly countries in light of the leaderships’ keenness to further cement them to serve common goals.


Present at the meeting were General Command Court Director Major General Hassan Mohammed Sa’ad, Inspector General Major General Abdullah Hassan Al Nuaimi, Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Supply and Catering Rear Admiral Yusef Ahmed Malallah, Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Human Resources Major General Sheikh Ali bin Rashid Al Khalifa and Military Cooperation Director Rear Admiral Mohammed Hashim Al Sadah.

 

Lastly, Lieutenant-General Mahmoud Abdel Halim Freihat, and his accompanying delegation also visited the Military Museum of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF).


BDF Chief-of-Staff, Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, accompanied Jordan’s Joint Chiefs Chairman.

 

The visiting delegation toured the museum’s sections and halls, which include historical collectibles and artistic military paintings and models that keep a record of Bahrain's military history.
