In an unprecedented achievement Pilot Officer Lieutenant Shaikha Aisha bint Rashid Al-Khalifa has successfully passed the foundation course aboard the jet-powered advanced trainer aircraft Hawk warplane to join the Royal Bahrain Air Force (RBAF) Air Wing. The foundation course was held at the Royal Bahrain Air Force (RBAF) Training Wing.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of RBAF Commander Air Marshal Pilot Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
RBAF Commander Air Marshal Pilot Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa congratulated Pilot Officer Lieutenant Shaikha Aisha bint Rashid Al-Khalifa on passing the foundation course aboard the jet-powered advanced trainer aircraft Hawk warplane.
He hailed her competence, capability, spirit of determination and challenge, building on her success in her inaugural flight aboard the jet-powered advanced trainer aircraft Hawk warplane.
He commended her outstanding performance in her studies and practical flying after acquiring the required aviation expertise.
Pilot Officer Lieutenant Shaikha Aisha bint Rashid Al-Khalifa expressed her delight at passing the foundation course aboard the jet-powered advanced trainer aircraft Hawk warplane and joining the RBAF Air Wing.
She expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa for supporting and encouraging her, which was a catalyst to succeed in her career.
She also expressed thanks to RBAF Commander Air Marshal Pilot Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa and all officers who supported her in her training, which enabled her to acquire more military aviation expertise.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa recently attended the first flight of Shaikha Aisha bint Rashid Al-Khalifa who took off from Shaikh Isa Air Base to perform a one-hour flight in an unprecedented achievement for Bahraini women.
HRH the Premier hailed then the unique and unprecedented achievement which embodies the spirit of determination of Bahraini women and their dedication in serving and defending their homeland.
